Finally Friday...

It's been a long week, classes, lectures (in French..how's that for an immersion program!) Walking tours of Yoff and N'Gor...nothing special really..

Tonight we're going to see Orchestra Baobob, because some of the kids taking Wolof are taught by a member of the band, this guy named Rudy. Rudy has played with Dave Matthews a few times, and tonights concert is with his main band, Orchestra Baobob, with Trey from Phish. We're going to his house, or something, and just hanging out for a while with them before the concert. You're jealous, I know.

Tommorow night we're going to a Senegalese party. No drinking, or smoking, because Islam doesn't allow it. We dance, and drink Fanta, and it doesn't start until 1am, which is early, usually things don't get kicking until 2am...

Quite a change of pace from kegs at the Blue house, but it'll be fun in a differnet way...
